Christmas Program

There's just something about the first ever school program.  A rite of passage for parents somewhat I think.  I was just so proud watching my little angel walk into Thompson Hall at our church for his Christmas program with all the other 3 year olds.  They sang a grand total of 13 songs (just one verse of most of course) and he seemed to know them all.  He has always loved to sing and had been singing many of them around the house for weeks so I wasn't too surprised.  Still, watching him with all his sweet little classmates was just so fun!

Champs with his 2 teachers after the performance!

After it was over we headed to brunch with the boys and all the grandparents.  So much fun and proud of our singing angel!

To see him in action, here are a few videos of the performance:

December from the phone!

The whole Christmas season was SO much fun with Champs this year.  He really always gets into all of the holidays, so that's nothing new, but his excitement was in overload this Christmas season.  I loved hearing him sing Christmas songs around the house and in the car as the month+ went along.  He learned so many songs at school (christmas program post coming soon) - both fun Christmas ones like Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, but also sweet religious songs like "Mary had a Baby- Yes Lord."

One of his absolute favorite things of the season was the snow village at my parents house.  My mom got out her old village from when Will and I were little and set it up on the desk in the kitchen with all the fake snow and all.  To say he had fun with this doesn't begin to describe - he was obsessed.  Of course there were a few casualties and injuries to some of the figures, so we might have to replace some before next year!  While Barrett was in Orlando for the ACC Championship, I took the boys to Bville for a night.  This was the first weekend in Dec, so the Christmas magic was just beginning  - and it was the first time he got to play with the village!

Champs' class at school had a cute "Advent Festival" early in December.  I participated as a volunteer so loved getting to see them all in action.

"Why didn't you guys tell me this is where you keep the chocolate?!"

SANTA visits!

Whew!  We made it through the holidays!  They were fast and furious - and a whole lot of fun!  There's so much to document from the month of December, but I thought I'd start with some fun visits with Santa!  I think we saw the big guy 5 times this year.

First up with Vista Lights, which was actually in November.  We went with Alexis & Mac and Ann Mac, Townsend and Layne.  We met at Alexis' office in the Vista and walked down to the tree lighting.  Since it was mid-Nov we honestly weren't even thinking about seeing Santa, but since he was there, we let the big boys sit on his lap!

Next was a Christmas party at one of Champs' classmates the first weekend in Dec!  This was the second year in a row we attended this cute party for all their friends and classmates.  Jack even had some of his buddies there :)  As you can see Champs and one of his very best buddies James equally love each other and Elsa!

Next Champs went with Barrett to his company Christmas party for families.  I can't remember exactly what had gone on that day, but I just remember it was a LONG day so Jack and I didn't make it!

The Lindsays had their 2nd Annual Christmas Party this year on Dec 10.  Sadly I had my big Christmas work event that day, so had to miss, but Barrett got both the boys there!

And lastly, the Boyers invited us to Brunch with Santa at Forest Lake on Dec 11th!  It was so fun and the pics were so cute! :)

And that's a wrap for 2016 Santa visits!  Lots more Christmas fun to come.....stay tuned!
