Dalmatian Parade

Each year at Eastminster Day School, instead of having the children dress up in Halloween costumes, they ask all of the Toddler I and Toddler II children dress up as dalmations and they do a "Dalmatian Parade" around the school.  They also study animals during the month of October so this coincides with that as well.

The Parade was this morning and it was pretty funny.  All the children had these sort of expressionless faces going on.  I guess they were just taking it all in!

They had a little class party after the parade, but the Mama's didn't stay - think it's easier on the teachers when the children don't see their Mama's while at school.  When Champs spotted me before the parade started he busted out in tears!  Here are pics from the party and a couple of videos that are a little blurry. For the record, that's not him crying in the second video - it's the sweet little girl behind him.  Haha

I spotted Bollin wearing her monster mask in the 2's class and Julia who's in Champs' class so had to get a pic of them too :)

Trunk or Treat

Our church hosted a Trunk or Treat Halloween event on Sunday afternoon for the Toddlers-Kindergarteners of our church.  It was so fun to finally be able to put Champs' full costume on as he's been practicing wearing the head now for weeks.  He is super into dogs right now so it worked out perfectly that I had ordered him this puppy dog costume a couple months ago!  He even does a little "wuff" when I ask him what the dog says.

Barrett had to leave to go out of town for work on Sunday afternoon, so my parents came to help me and go to the party with us.  It was a great time.  We ran into a very cute turkey and ducky so spent a majority of the time in the shade with them b/c it was hot!  We were also thrilled to run into our buddy, James - who was a pumpkin.  Hope Champs will like his costume as much on round 2 - actual Halloween!

Woodlands Weekend

We spent the weekend at Joan's family's plantation home and land in Bamberg, SC.  It was such a fun weekend to spend in the woods.  We were there with 5 other families/couples so it was beautiful chaos at it's finest.  The children had a great time though and it was fun to watch them all playing together (or beside each other more so!).  Champs was in absolute heaven with all his favorite things in one place: golf carts, gators, dogs - what more can you ask for!  Thank you Joan and Brian for a wonderful weekend.

Note: As you can see below, our attempts at a group pic of all the kids in their carhartt's was a big fail!
