Christmas Part 1

We had the best week at our parents houses for Christmas.  Wonderful memories were made and fun was definitely had by all, especially Champs!  My favorite thing is seeing him have sweet moments with our families and watch him get to know them better and better.

He is really saying most everyone's names now and it's so cute.  He's given some new names....Peachy is now Che and he shows all those little teeth as he says it.  As we know Ronnie's new name is Boo, and it's stuck.  Champs loves to look around and make sure Boo is there.  My dad's name is still Poppy and Champs started really saying it this week.  He says it like a little English boy, more like Po-peeee.  So cute.  He of course knows KK and points to her when we say the name, but he can't quite say it yet.  He's with her a few days this week while we're back at work and celebrating NYE, so I have a feeling he'll have it down by the time I see him on Thursday!  He has also mastered Ashley, Will (for the most part) and Chase's names!  So cute to hear him say all these.

Christmas vacation started with a little Christmas Caroling in Bishopville last Tuesday.  Since it was nasty outside, the actual caroling was cancelled and we just had the get together that is normally after we sing.  This is a tradition that has been going on for as long as I can remember.  It's always the Tuesday before Christmas.  There are 4 or 5 people chosen to go carol to and everyone drives around town together, stopping at each house to sing, then all gather for refreshments and time together afterward.  I have loved this since I was a little girl.  Hopefully we'll get to sing next year so Champs can enjoy it too!

Checking out the scene.
Was so happy to finally meet sweet baby Burns.

Back at home and happy to see Poppy.
Good gracious how can we get him not so interested in phones and ipads?!?
Wednesday morning Mama and I did some cooking and prep for Christmas Eve meals.  Mama helped Champs give me my new hohoho apron earlier this Christmas season.  I love it!

I love these pics we took on Christmas Eve of Champs with my parents.  Happy Happy!

Now on to KK and Boo's.......!!

Cookies and Cider

Champs and I hosted a small party yesterday and it was such a great time!  We had my grandparents, my Mom, my Aunt Judy, Joan and her girls over for Christmas cookies and cider.  I just love seeing mine and Joan's children together - it melts my heart.  Champs is so obsessed with them, particularly older cousin Bollin.  Joan and I laugh because when Baby Champs was born Bollin was obsessed with him and now the roles are reversed!  It was so special to have my grandparents over to be with 3 (of their 5) great-grands before Christmas!

Nanny Pat's Christmas Party

Our nanny from last year - Nanny Pat, who still keeps Champs a lot, hosted a Christmas party last week for all her little children that she keeps regularly!  We had it at Kelly's house since she is Kelly's nanny this year.  It was SUCH a cute party and Pat had everything just perfect for all the sweet children and their Mamas!  She had made delicious cookies for everyone along with some other great snacks for the children.  Everyone had a ball.  Nanny Pat became Santa Pat when she brought out gifts from under the tree for all the children and all the Mamas.  She is seriously the sweetest, kindest most wonderful person and Champs ADORES her.  I am forever thankful that she came into our life and that she is now near and dear to most all my friends here with children!! :)
