1st Visit with Santa this season

We started off the holiday season with a party at one of Champs' classmates house last Sunday.  His friend Lillian's family hosted many families over for a cute party that included a visit with the sweetest/best Santa I've encountered!

Champs was really excited about the party and especially about seeing Santa.  He walked right in and wanted to see Santa immediately.  There were 2 children on his lap when we got there, so I told Champs he could go next.  I think it worked great him not having much time to give it thought (or get scared) so he was just very eager and excited.

He told Santa he wanted "a Gator truck" and that he had eaten "chicken and guacemole for breakfast"! haha  No - he had not really!  He has had this in his head since September that he was asking Santa for this truck, so I do hope he gets it.  It has been great leverage for good behavior these last couple of months! :)

I got Champs' school picture back last week.  His expression and position make me laugh!

Clemson weekend

The magical season continues as we won another game this weekend and are now 11-0 and #1 in the country!!!  I still can't even comprehend this!  The big rivalry game is this weekend and I sure hope we can get the WIN!!

We spent the Clemson/Wake Forest game with our friends Pickens & Alexis at the Lindsay's (Pickens' parents) condo which is right in downtown Clemson! It sure made it nice and much easier with the boys to be so close to campus.  We took the boys down for a few hours of tailgating and then back to the condo for naps and had a sitter keep them while we went back to the game.  While at the tailgate Champs got to see all 4 of his grandparents, see the stadium, and ride in a really cool vintage firetruck.  He was totally content that he had "been to the football game" and was ready to head back to Mac's house right about the time we were planning to head there!

Champs and Mac were so cute together all weekend!  This was the first time they had been one-on-one since they were pretty little and I think they both really enjoyed it!  They are such sweet boys and was so fun to watch them giggle and play with each other all weekend.  FYI, Champs is about 8 months older than Mac.

Another note from the weekend is that Champs slept in a big bed all weekend!  I think we are definitely DONE with the crib.  Libby (Pickens' mom) has a 4 year old grandson as well so had a twin bed with a rail on it and Champs' told me he wanted to sleep there and not his pack-n-play so I figured I couldn't say no since he had done so well in his bed at home all week!

Here are some pics from the weekend of the boys!

Such a fun weekend in Tiger Town!  Now on to the next....the Gamecocks!!

Sprinkle, Sprinkle

My Columbia girlfriends had the most perfect Sprinkle for me last Friday night.  For those not familiar, a "Sprinkle" is like a mini "Shower" - get it?  They gave a fabulous shower for Baby Champs, but with second baby, a Sprinkle is more appropriate - no need for a full fledge shower!  It was a great excuse to get together on a weekend night with girlfriends.  And we had the best time!!

Joan hosted it at her house and she is most definitely the hostess with the mostess!  Her house is gorgeous all the time, but seeing the beautiful table she had done and all the pretty flowers, silver, etc was perfect!

Here is the table and my place setting.  So pretty!

We had the best dinner!  The girls had a beautiful cheese board with all sorts of cheeses, fruits, nuts, crackers and we had this with a little bubbly.  Just a splash for me.  Then we sat down for dinner and had a great salad and shrimp creole.  For dessert we had an apple tart with ice cream and petit fors with baby blue booties on top.

The girls also gave me a precious outfit, hat and swaddle blanket for the baby.  Each girl also gave a pack of diapers and boy is that appreciated!  They are the best friends - I'm a lucky girl.

We didn't take many pics that night, but here is a group shot of us at the dinner table and a few others.

I am 30 weeks pregnant this week, so he should be here in 10 weeks or less!  (Praying I don't have to go past my due date this time!)

Champs has officially moved to his big boy room and he loves it!! He's doing great in his bed so far (only 3 nights in) so hoping this continues!  I'll post some pics of his room once we get the last piece done which is hanging all the art, etc on the walls!

Here he is sleeping in his big bed!!  This melts my heart - he seems so small in the bed after looking so big in his crib.

So now that he's out of the nursery, I can get it ready for this baby boy!!!!
