First Easter!

Champs' first Easter and our first time hosting Easter was a big success!  It was a great day spending time with both of our families together and entertaining everyone at our house.  Great memories were made and I think everyone had a fun time.  This is picture overload (even more than usual) but here are pics from Easter Sunday!

8 Months Old!

Champs turned 8 months old last Wednesday, which was the same day Barrett turned 31!  I was a little delayed in getting pictures taken, but here we are!  This past month has been a super fun one, though we started it with a little challenge.  Champs had to have a little outpatient surgery on March 20, but was such a trooper and got through it all so well.  He's a tough little cookie and we simply adore him.
Serious Champs
Mama, I'm kind of over these pics.
He is so active now - gone are the days of being content sitting in one place - he's ready to move! - but just can't quite do it yet!  Will be interesting to see how long it takes him to learn to crawl now that he's showing interest and just starting to try.  This past month he's been babbling so much and just loves to "talk and talk."  He did say his first "word" this month - we'll call it that - and of course it was Dadadadada!

Okay one smile and then can I get down?!
LOVES this zebra in his nursery.
Hello!
He's doing really well on eating some table food now and that's been fun.  And he LOVES eating Joe's O's :)  (Trader Joe's version of Cheerios)

Ahhhh!

Wants to GO!
This little monkey is the light of our world.  Every month keeps getting better and he makes us laugh constantly.  He's such a little gigglebox and loves to laugh at us constantly.  It's funny how over these last couple of months he's gotten where he truly knows "his people" and you can tell he's most comfortable around them!  I can't believe he's already 8 months, but I'm just so proud of him and all he's already accomplished and learned!

Weight: 20 pounds on the dot!
LOVES: Talking, Walking/scooting in his walker, riding in his wagon and new car, strolling, playing his bells, piano and anything else that will make noise, eating snacks and gosh so much more.
New things:
EATS: 3 meals a day consisting of baby food and some table food.  So far seems to like veggies more than fruits when it comes to table food.  We are also trying to get better about using the sippy cup.
SLEEP: At least 2 naps a day and is sleeping through the night, though lately he's been waking up a little earlier - need to get back to 6;45 or 7:00!
TEETH: Champs got his 2nd tooth this month, so now has 2 teeth on the bottom!
NEW SKILLS: Saying "Dada", eating table food, driving his car, just starting to attempt to crawl in the last week.

The Big 3-1!!

Barrett turned the big 3-1 this week!  We started the bday celebrations last weekend at dinner with his parents and continued them this week.  So Champs could enjoy part of the fun, we had a birthday breakfast on his actual birthday, which was Wednesday.  If there's one thing Champs loves - it's a hat - or lovey - on his head!  He wore the birthday hat ALL morning and loved it!

We hope Da-da had a very happy birthday!!  Here's to many many more!
