Half a year!

6 (and a half) months old.  Our little Jack has been with us for half a year.  Seems so short and long at the same time...it's amazing how much joy he's brought us in just 6 quick months!  He really is the sweetest, happiest baby.  His little shy grin that he does to us just melts us.  His personality is really starting to show now.  He giggles so much, is babbling a ton (said Ma-Ma first but mostly says bababab and dadada now!) and just adores Barrett, Champs and me.  It's like he already idolizes and looks up to his big brother - crazy how that can be the case at this age but it's fun to watch.  Jack's favorite thing is when Champs lets him play with him! Though he lovessss his family, he doesn't have any sort of stranger danger or separation anxiety yet.  He will let anyone hold him!

He has been sitting up since about 5 months old and is now rocking a ton like he wants to crawl.  Hopefully he won't take off for a couple more months!  He has been eating solids (baby food) since about 5 months as well.  He LOVES it.  He loves my homemade food the best, but likes the pouches I give him just fine too.  I still haven't tested dairy again, but thinking I might try it around 8 months to see if he's outgrown the milk protein allergy yet!  Jack is a tummy sleeper, which is funny b/c Champs never was as a baby.  They are so different on many things like this.  So we put him down on his back but he always rolls to his tummy to sleep. 

Though Jack is the sweetest baby ever with the most easy-going, happy go lucky personality - sweet thing just does not love to sleep through the night.  We're still working on it!  The good news is with it being our second baby, I don't sweat it too much - I know we'll get there and this baby baby stage is so short!!  Plus if he "occasionally" ends up in our bed by 3am, I'm frankly okay with it! :)

I really hope these next 6 months slow down.  It's just going way too fast.  We absolutely adore sweet Baby Jack and could just eat him with a spoon!!!
