Barrett got back into town from a work trip last Wednesday early afternoon, so we decided it would be a great time to take Champs to the State Fair for the first time! We went together to pick him up from school, which is always fun, because I think he knows he's going to do something extra fun! It was a bright and sunny fall day and Champs was excited for an adventure with Mama and Da!
I would say his favorite parts of the fair were (and in this order):
- Corn Dog
- Petting zoo
- Elephant ear
- Merry Go Round
The bumble bees were NOT a hit! It was a great first trip to the fair for Champs. I have a feeling he'll be doing a lot more rides next year. I will continue to "hold the coats" as I've done my entire life. I am terrified of all rides and still get a nervous pit in my stomach upon entering the fair as memories of trips in middle and high school and dreading the questions and pushes to "ride it Julia, it's easy!!! This one isn't scary at all!!" come back to me. At least I can forgo those comments for at least 10 years!!
Not sure why these pics didn't upload in order, but here's a look at our trip to the Fair!
