Hooray for College Football starting! Since I had Champs last year just 2 weeks before the first game (Clemson/Ga 2013) the 2013 football season is a bit of a blur. I am so excited to get back up to Clemson for a few games this year and we're planning to take Champs to two!
This year for Labor Day weekend though, I was happy to watch football from my comfy rocking chair in Pawleys and left the game in Barrett, Will, Chase, Charlie and Cally's hands! Champs and I spent the long weekend in Pawleys with my parents and had such a great time. It was really relaxing and great to get some good time with my parents.
We even went out to eat, past 7pm, and took Champs along for the ride in his carseat. It went surprisingly well - he slept just about the whole time! Though we didn't win the game on Saturday, we did play well for 3 quarters of it and I'm proud of our team.
We got some good beach time in, some good food as usual, and lots of good quality time with this little guy. Since turning one I feel like he is a total sponge. He is taking in everything we do and say and mimicking so much of it. He is learning new "tricks" all the time. It's so fun to watch him learn. He's trying so hard to say some new words, but they are just so hard to get out. He's added "nana" for banana and he tries hard to say "monk" for his beloved monkey lovey that he can't go without for more than 15 min! Eek - "Hello college roommate, I'm Champs and this is Monk Monk."
