TWO Months Old

Jack turned TWO months old last week.  This past month has been great with Jack.  He has become so much more alert and finally starting waking up a bit more!  I love in the mornings when he's so alert and smiley!  He is such a happy boy.  In the past couple of weeks the smiles and coos have really picked up and we are loving it.  Pretty much if I smile or laugh in his face, he does it right back.  It's the cutest thing!

He is loving his play mat and is kicking like crazy now.  Those little arms with the closed fist and moving all around too.  His sweets coos are just the sweetest sound in the world!  He is sleeping pretty well.  He goes down about 8:30pm, wakes up once during the night (most nights) somewhere around 2:30 or 3:00 to eat and goes right back to sleep after.  He then usually sleeps until about 7 or 7:30am.  This works well with our schedule because Champs usually gets up between 6:30 and 7:00, so I can get him up and situated before Jack wakes up!

He has found his hands and loves putting them in his mouth!  He already has the little spit bubbles on his mouth a lot.  I sure hope this doesn't mean he will be an early teether!

We had his 2 month appointment this week and Dr. Willard confirmed what I had suspected these last couple of weeks...Jack does have the milk protein allergy like Champs did.  What does this mean?  It means I am eliminating dairy from my diet in hopes that he won't have the symptoms of the allergy if I give up dairy.  I am not doing a total elimination at this point but just the basic obvious ones: cheese, milk, cream, sour cream, butter, yogurt, ice cream.

Jack also has a condition called Laryngomalacia.  Sounds scary, but it's really not too big of deal.  You can read about it here! It should correct itself by one year old, so we pray that happens!

Jack you are the perfect addition to our family and I'm so glad you're here!  I could snuggle his sweet little self all day long.  What a happy, calm, easy-going, adorable little tadpole you are!
