The most wonderful wedding weekend! *Updated!*

Will and Ashley's wedding weekend was just so perfect!!  The week leading up to it was a little stressful trying to get their slideshow completed for the Rehearsal Dinner, getting work things wrapped up and figuring out all the plans for Champs during the weekend.  He went to Aiken and attended both the Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding for a bit, thanks to my FABULOUS in-laws.  But, once I got to Aiken on Friday morning in time for the Bridal Brunch, all was wonderful!!  I could not be happier for Will & Ashley and I've never seen them so happy as I did both Friday and Saturday nights!!

My whole family stayed at the Green Boundary Club, where the Rehearsal Dinner was, and it was so much fun. It's a beautiful historic home that is now a club with restaurants, events and 6 precious bedrooms upstairs!

Here are some pics from the weekend.  The Bridal Brunch was at Woodside Plantation Country Club.  It was so pretty - just look at the flowers below!

Rehearsal Dinner.....!

The Wedding.......!!  I wish I had more pictures, but I just have a few phone ones!  The wedding was at a beautiful Episcapal Church downtown called St Thaddeus and the reception was at the Palmetto Golf Club.  The night was just magical and so much fun!  We danced the night away for sure!

We are so happy for the newlyweds and know they will live happily ever after!!

A very happy Mama's Day!

Champs and Barrett gave me a very special Mother's Day!  Barrett got up with Champs so I could get a little more sleep.  When I got downstairs Champs took me to a beautiful new orchid, a special card he had colored and put stickers on, and some crafts he had made me at school.  Oh and he gave me a Starbucks gift card, which Barrett said he got since he broke my coffee pot last week when he accidentally dropped it. haha

Probably my favorite part of the whole day was the first time I heard Champs say this - bright and early just minutes after I had woken up :) <Watch video below!>

We went to early church at 9:00 and then brunch at Tazza Kitchen.  The food at their brunch was awesome. We've eaten there many times for dinner but never for brunch.  Will definitely be going back!

And more Happy Mama's Day at brunch!

After brunch and a long nap for ALL (took full advantage of Mother's Day as I never nap) we decided very spur of the moment to take a late afternoon trip to the zoo.  It's so close to us and Champs loves the animals and talking about the zoo so we figured why not!  It felt so awesome outside too, so we definitely wanted to enjoy the day!

He loved spotting Daddy as we went around the Carousel.  He would die laughing every time he saw him.

It was a wonderful Mother's Day with this sweet angel who made me a Mommy.  For him, I will be eternally grateful.  He is my greatest joy!!!

Lately

Things have been REALLY busy at work for me lately, which means a lot of Daddy duty and also some of Champs coming to some of my work events with me!

I brought Champs to the Opening Day of our Farmers Market last Thursday and Barrett and his parents brought him out to our big Summer Block Party last Friday!  Hey - if I have to be at work at nights and on the weekends, it's at least nice when I can see my family there too!

Saturday morning we took Sandra and Ronnie to brunch at Egg's Up Grill for Mother's Day.

On Saturday afternoon we had Julia's 2nd Birthday party.  It was an Ice Cream party at their house and was so cute.  The birthday girl looked ADORABLE in her party dress!  Champs had a ball too!

Mother's Day post coming next....but first can I please give a shout out to my brother and SOON to be sis-in-law!  They are getting married this weekend!!!  Can't wait to celebrate these two all weekend long!!!
